Tetsu Suzuki
Born in 1964 in Tajimi, Gifu Prefecture
Graduated from the Department of History, Ryukoku University (1987)
Completed the Forming Department program at the Kyoto Prefectural Ceramic Vocational Training School (1988)
First selected for the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition in 1991; subsequently selected 29 times
Became a full member of the Japan Kōgei Association in 1997
Received the Gifu Prefectural Board of Education Award at the 30th Tokai Traditional Crafts Exhibition (1999)
Recognized by Gifu Prefecture for contributions to the preservation of traditional culture (2012)
Designated as an Intangible Cultural Property holder for “Oribe” by the City of Tajimi (2024)
Received the Gifu Prefectural Arts and Culture Commendation (2025)
